Heavy Command Squads

They are coming!

- Very nice sculpts and paint work! Strange that the allied figures look so different from each other, and the medic kinda looks like an axis unit with those goggles, but they all look very cool.

- They mention "handy new skills", so it seems these guys won't have just the skills of the normal command squads. Axis seems to have some chemical that boosts a soldier's speed!

I WANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i like the heads. wish we could just buy a box of heads for swaps and what not. these are really nice looking though. think they will release with the other stuff end of october or will these be a november realease?

I cant wait to get these!!!!!1

ABSOLUTELY love the arc welding helmet on the ally mechanic. My favorite helmet to date.

These are exceptional models ... can't wait to pick them up!

Well, from what I can understand, this is how these heavy command squads break down:

HEAVY COMMANDOTRUPP

- Officer is also the Radioman (talk about painting a target on your forehead). He probably has "Get Moving..." which he can always use on distant units, and the Artillery Strike skill, as well as acting as a relay for the medic and mechanic advanced skills. He wields a twin MG44.

- Mechanic should have the normal 2 mechanic abilities, and wields a Fliegerfaust which probably needs to be reloaded.

- Medic also wields a twin MG44, and besides the normal 2 medical skills, I think he's the one who's able to inject soldiers with the chemical that boosts their speed, probably giving them Move 2.

CORPS OFFICERS

- Officer is also Radioman, like the axis unit. He wields dual Victory MGs and a rocket punch (can't be easy to hold a phone with such a glove).

- Mechanic is also the same as the axis unit, but wielding a flamethrower and rocket punch.

- Medic wields dual Victory MGs and a rocket punch and has the normal 2 medical skills, but he doesn't have the speed serum like the axis, so does he have anything else? What special skill does the allied command squad has to match the axis'?

To True. They're cool, but look like a real hodge podge. For me these guys will be getting head swaps and standard paint jobs.

The allied medic will have to be super talented to treat a wound with a rocket punch on one hand and a machine gun on the other.

I was going to say the exact same thing on my post above, that guy must be really skillful, though it must be very scary for the patient...

And like you, I think I'd paint them all the same colour scheme.

They are certainly releasing a good bit of late. I am happy to see this.

Only the Hero Packs left to be officially announced.

And the longer they keep releasing this stuff, the bigger pain it is going to be for SSU stuff. Maybe they are going to release a big Vrill/SSU pack together, but at 1 per month plus specials, the amount of Axis and Allied stuff is piling up rather quickly.

One thing I noticed: the Allied squad do not have Jump packs. Will they still have Jump? The Axis are still in the A3, so I assume it is still Damage Resilient. If the Allied squad is missing the Jump ability, and the Axis have the Damage Resilient and the speed boosting chemicals, I hope the Allies are getting something equally cool but not yet mentioned, perhaps a better ability to bring units back?

Yeah, it seems the allies won't have Jump, maybe they won't give Damage Resilient to the axis in order to better match the units?

That would balance them out, but I would have thought damage resilience was built into the armor. Maybe the Allied squad will have Fast, that would make up for it a little, or some other cool skill aside from the command abilities. I think the Axis will have the damage resilience. Perhaps the Allies will have it too?
