Hidden Cylon/Sympathizer

By GreenTea, in Battlestar Galactica

Question for you guys...

What do you do when as a player, you're a hidden cylon operative, then draw the sympathizer card at the time when all resources are in the black? It seems that on your turn you'd want to spend your action to truly reveal yourself as a cylon and gain the ability to activate the cylon fleet & use super crisis cards, but the mechanic seems a bit odd.

Any thoughts?

Please disregard... I just found a pretty nice post that explained everything.

Thanks!

Thematically, you've always thought you were a Cylon and then suddenly found out you weren't, but you're already so tied into the Cylon cause that you join them anyway. Mechanically, you may have a few less options, but you now also get to MAKE a player into a Cylon and that's a pretty huge bonus if you ask me.

Just to be sure i got this right :

- When you receive a Sympathizer Card while one or more ressource is red, you treat this card as "You are not a Cylon" and move to the Brig (as said in the rulebook). If you're a Cylon, you're supposed to ignore any "You're not a Cylon" card but what about the sympathizer card, does the rule applies here or can the Cylon change side (like "Caprica-Sharon" in season 2) ?

'Cause they say that a Sympathizer card represents "a human or Cylon who whishes to side with the other team", but the rules seems to imply that if you're a Cylon, you'll stay this way to the end.

Ignore the flavor text, it's confusing, just follow the instructions and look at the FAQ if needed.

If the sympathizer sends you to the brig that's all it does. If you have a Cylon card, you're a Cylon, if not, you're Human.

If it reveals you, you're a gimped Cylon player. If you have a Cylon card, you can give it to someone else using the Resurrection Ship.

Okey thanks, after reading again the rules it's all very clear. The card description got me wrong, but now i understand how it works.
