Liber Monstrorum

By Emirikol, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

I noticed an interesting section in The Witch Hunter's Handbook p.76 (Black Industries). I wonder how many of these will see the light of day. A couple are already developed of course. Each new one gives me ideas for a scenario!

Liber Monstrorum of The Old World:
Albarimon
Amphisbaena
Bargtjes
Bestigor
Bishop-Fish
Blemmyai
Catoblepas
Centigor
Chimera
Cynocephates
Draug
Ellyon
Fenbeast of Albion
Gor
Gorgon
Huldra
Indrik
Leucrota
Minotaur
Opinicus
Sciapod
Sleipnir
Ungor

Didn't find my copy but if I recall right most of the them have already been statted in various locations though with different names.

For example Amphisbaena was in WFRP1... Maybe.

Witch hunters handbook?

Amphi...Ama... That thing you mentioned is in tome of corruption. I'm reasonably certain.

If that's a request I'll stat them for you. happy.gif

Have at it.

Ok, I had a go at them.

I got just onto B of Blemmyai When I notice my program needs some additional actions, mutations and abilities. So, before I finish this list I will add some of those.

Feel free to post any abillities and such here so I can add them.

This is still much WIP, but its nice to use the generator to see what I need to improve.

Atm I'm looking into an export to pdf solution as well but I'll sure continue your list once that's done.

Great work. It's fun seeing these in practical form.

Yes, if you could get them to PDF in standard form (book form or the teensy-weensy little card form), that would be good as well

So, I finished my first draft of a PDF output module. but I can no longer continue.

The reason being that I have to buy my PDF copy of the creature guide, add the whole shebam to my database first.

I'm aslo waiting on my Omens of War copy for some rules updates to charging, riding, etc...

Also, I'd like some feedback on some of the now missing creatures:

Ungor, Gor, Bestigor & Centigor: are none of these statted in the creature guide? If not, do we want to keep the canon beastman (goatface guys) feel or shall I create them as other types of beastmen (i.e.: feline/bird/exotic animal antromorph)?
Chimera & Minotaur: I find it hard to believe these are not in the creature guide. But if not I think these need their own action cards, any suggestions?
Fenbeast of Albion: Isn't this guy in the Witches song?
Gorgon: What type of action or ability and especially what rules would you give this one? They can transform whoever they look upon (in some legends whoever looks upon them) into stone.
Opinicus: I'll need the creature guide for this one
Sciapod: I have my doubts about this one, without proper locomotion what is it going to do? Suggestions?
Sleipnir: We all know this is the steed of Odin, do we really want him in our games and if so, would this also be a godlike being or just borrow its name (from some old Norsca legend)?

Pls note that you must be logged into my site to use the PDF output, you may have to wait a bit as it is dynamically generated.
