Timing with Condition Attachment

By vette427, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

I just had a quick question about the 'blood of the dragon' attachment (CS), which has the Condition trait and reads "While participating in a challenge, attached character gets +6 STR and gains the Dragon trait.' If this is attached to Daenerys Targaryen (QoD), whose text contains "Dragon characters you control do not kneel to attack", does this mean that she still has to kneel in order to attack?

My reasoning says that since the 'Blood of the Dragon' only applies while Daenerys is participating in a challenge, she still has to kneel first in order to become a participant in the challenge, before she has the dragon trait. Thus, she is not able to apply her special ability to herself in this situation. I'm not positive about the timing on this one though, so any further clarification would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Yup. Makes it a much less sexy attachment, doesn't it?
