I just started playing melee with some friends this past weekend and really enjoyed the game. We had a couple of general rules questions that we hope someone can answer for us.

1. During what phase do you collect gold? At the moment we have been doing 1. Plot phase (determine 1st player, resolve plots) -> 2. Choose Titles in small council -> 3. collect gold (from plot + locations + title) -> 4. draw cards -> 5. marshalling

Is this the correct sequence?

2. Do locations that have +gold (such as "The Goldroad") still give their gold bonus if they are knelt?

3. At what phase can you transfer power from a character to your house and is the limit 1 power per character or 1 power total?

1. Gold is given to a player when they are the Active Player during Marshaling.

2. Kneeling does nothing to income bonuses. Kneel those locations with impunity!

3. Power is not transferred from characters to your house card. That power stays on your character. It counts toward your win conditions, and you should be able to get power faster that way, but if that character dies, the power is lost. It's the trade off.
