Do Servitors have enough of a brain to let Astropath Telepathy powers work on them? My first thought it yes, conditionally. I don't you being able to override programming with Compel, but maybe with Dominate (especially if the Astropath had Binary Chatter), but I do think Sensory Deprivation would work. Thoughts?
Sensory Deprivation and Servitors
I think I answered my own question. On p164 under Mind Scan it says "Untouchables, mindless creatures—such as servitors or robots—and other psychically inert creatures are invisible to Mind Scan.", so I guess I'd have to say that servitors are meant to be mindless. Oh well, I guess the Astropath can't be invisible to the combat servitors.
To specifically reply - anything with the machine trait is immune to mental *control.* This will become important if you have a tech priest character in your party, or the Augmetacist Alternate Career.
Some GMs read this as you can't control them (eg: dominate) or read their minds, some read it as just control - this is important since mind-link, the psychic power, can be used to give bonuses in ship combat. If a tech-priest can't be mind linked, he can't get the bonus, neh?
Mind scan (the power) specifically prohibits use on mindless creatures like servitors.

Wait, I must have missed this somewhere. Where are the rules on these bonuses?

"Into The Storm", I believe.
