Since I didn't see a thread dedicated to player-designed ships I thought I'd post some here.

I always liked the Orion Star Clipper. Here is a nimble, helluva fast blockade runner designed to provide a maximum return on Trade and Exploration achievements. A steal at only 37 Ship Points.

This ship is the Emperor's Herald, a mighty ship of trade and exploration unlike any other in the Imperium, built to the unique specifications of a particularly wealthy Rogue Trader. This ship offers all the options needed bring a heathen world back into the Emperor's light. And who can dare doubt the power of the Imperium?

Having slipped its moorings only a few months ago, this is an eager and ready vessel that features good handling (for a cruiser), powerful sensors, and a wide array of features that will spoil the most jaded Rogue Trader. It also features one of the best plasma drives that the Lathes can produce. While not *quite* as powerful in combat as a true Navy cruiser, the Emperor's Herald is nontheless a fearsome opponent. Only 78 Ship Points.

Anyway, here is a repost of the ship currently being used by the players in my campaign.

This modified Dauntless class light cruiser is powerful in combat, quick to maneuver, and between the sensors and the Ancient and Wise characteristic, it is very hard indeed to get the drop on this ship. Given its strength in combat it is still fairly well optimized for Trade and Exploration, as well as having numerous other useful features. No teleportarium, but the murder-servitors still serve as an ace card when all else fails.

Only the best for Lord-Captain Alexei Zhukov; our group went with an oldie but a goodie, Lunar-class cruiser hull with a helluva lot of refits. This build is post a few tweaks, as the game goes on I might repost or simply edit with what we manage to acquire. The original build was extrapolated after we rolled the Wolf In Sheep's Clothing; I wanted a warship with decently powerful weapons, but it's trademark would be that it's a true nightmare to board, hence the Tenebro-Maze, Teleportarium, and Best-Craftsmanship Storm Trooper Detachment. Either you get lost, get shot, or get lost, have crack troops teleport to where you are, and then get shot.

Cavgunner, I hate to rain on your parade, but two of those designs aren't legal builds under the official rules. (Insert usual disclaimer about house rules, its your game, and have fun here.)

If you have an armoured prow, you cannot mount macrocannon or lances in the prow slot. That restricts your prow weapon to torpedoes or a nova cannon.

Erm, okay, one of your designs wasn't legal. I thought the Vagabond was no good but I double checked the errata and it's fine. Oops.

Thanks, yes I did notice that the Ambition class cruiser wasn't legal, I just havnen't got around to correcting it yet. Unfortunately that particular ship design program doesn't really check for illegal item combinations.
