Can anyone help me on an RP I'm trying to do?

By Xamusel, in Anima: Beyond Fantasy RPG

You see, I'm trying to create an RP for a different site that has little exposure to Anima: Beyond Fantasy, and thus, I'm doing what I can to explain the rules of the game and the setting at the same time. Now, my main problem is three-fold: I don't have a map of the Old Continent to show how the world works, I don't have a clue how to explain the full character creation process, and I'm not sure how to best explain the power-level difference for the RP.

So, it boils down to this: I need a map of the Old Continent, I need to properly help out on the character creation process, and I need to figure out the power levels better (if anyone wants to know, it's a crossover RP with Fate/stay Night, and if anyone has an idea how to properly scale the PC stuff for that, I'd be really grateful for that).

The first character creation is always the toughest. RPGnet has a couple old topics about it: http://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?414104-Anima-Character-creation-example

It works fairly well as an explanation.

For power level explanations, I am not sure. At level 5, my Illusionist in my brother's game ignores arrows, spears and swords from normal soldiers(it doesn't matter what they roll, it does nothing). With the casting of a single spell, my character could be immune to every weapon we have ever seen on Earth for the rest of time(paying 10 zeon a day).

I would probably peg most of the actual humans in F/SN as no higher than level 3 or 4. But their access to the supernatural gives them advantages over normal humans of a similar level. Servants might conceivably hit 10 at the high end(Morrigan, as an example character from Anima itself, is a demonic creature that possesses reality manipulation and control of space and time on a fairly large scale, she is level 9 or 11 if unsealed).

Hmm... I like how that particular user went about explaining it. Still, when it came down to it, I decided to wing it at that point. Not only that, but I decided to use Hellgeist's method of character creation as a way of figuring out what to explain next, so... I can understand what that user was doing, but I feel the need to explain everything, if possible.

Well, I can understand what you're saying in regards to the Servants, and I like the example that you gave about Morrigan. Still, somehow, I think that the Servants are more than capable of blasting a hole in reality (Gilgamesh as an example, but only because of his "artifact" in the game terms for Noble Phantasms, Ea, which is Anti-World). Still, if you want an example of the Servants from the 5th Grail War...

I'm going to say that Sasaki is the weakest of the Servants with a level of 9, and TA is weaker still (should he come into the story) at level 8. I'm also going to say that EMIYA is a level 14 Warlock with bad stats compared to the other Servants (he's just that good compared to normal humans, given his circumstances), Saber is a level 14 Warrior or Weaponmaster with far better stats, Gil is a level 15 Warrior and is in a league of his own with his artifacts (aka his Noble Phantasms), Berserker is in a league of his own as well at level 15 and is a Weaponmaster (it's his stats that make him in a league of his own), Rider is a level 13 Warrior Summoner with usually really great stats (nerfed by Shinji, of course, but they're almost Rin!Saber level stats under a better master) who can summon a Pegasus (of course), Sasaki is a Technician (Ki master) with bad stats but really good attack and defense and an insane Ki Technique (under the Anima rules) that's great in one-on-one battles (Tsubame Gaeshi), Lancer is a level 13-14 Acrobatic Warrior with an insane Agility and Ars Magnus Infinium (to give him the disengage skill) along with The Gift, Medea is a level 12 Sorceress with access to Divine Magic and an insane bonus to her ACT, and TA is an Assassin (Duh!) who has a good Ki technique for assassination.

That's actually what I had to deal with for a fan story I am writing. Does that make sense?

Still, I do wish I knew where to find the World Map for the Old Continent, so...

Okay, still looking around for the map of the Old Continent on the net, with no success to date.

It could be possible that I have to have someone make the map for me. Mind you, there's no need to rush, but I'd like it made reasonably soon to help explain the Old Continent to people better.

Sorry, I'm hoping for one that's in the English language... thanks for trying, though.
