Blackhawk

By BigDogg, in Dust Tactics General Discussion

I was just wondering why the Blackhawk with an enclosed cockpit has the same stats defensively as a Honey/Wildfire, which are opened topped? Doesn't seem quite right IMHO.

Don't we all preocupado.gif

I didn't buy the "Wildfire/Honey" because the open top just made no sense to me.

Maybe closed top/open top will have rule effects in Dust Warfare. Extra die on damage chart or something.

I dont have the honey or wildfire, but could you month their weapons on a Blackhawk chasis?

Not without some heavy customizing. The Honey/Wildfire weapons are part of a removable nose of the walker, while the Blackhawk's are in an "arms" configuration.

Really? I kinda like the open topped look...

It does look good, but when its open topped and has the same armour and wounds as a totally enclosed one, well, thats another story....

They're wearing their helmets...works for Land Speeders...Oh wait, that is ceramite power armor helmets...

Open Top ... a sniper should be able to take out the walker with one shot ... kill the driver and its a done deal.

Two words - FORCE FIELD. :-)

I just finished painting 3 Allied Light Walkers. Let me tell you, they are the hardest of the walkers to paint. I will try to post pics.

Sorry, I still need to weather and touch them up, so they are not finished yet.

They are essentially "Motorcycle walkers." I have issues with the scale of the 50 calibers on the Wildfire, they are half the size of the ones on the Pounder (I mentioned this on another post). Perhaps they are shrinking them down from VK tech now? Who knows.

As far as the driver being exposed, it does suck. I am going to try and find some 1/48 scale motorcycles and use the windshields and instrument dispays on them.

If I had the talent/patience I'd like to figure out a way to put a P-39/P-63 style canopy onto the Allied light walkers, complete with 'car doors'.
