Narrow escape and characters created from events or locations

Let's assume that I have on the board character created with

Spy in Their Midst

Text:
Reinforcements Any phase: Play if you have lost an intrigue challenge this phase. Pay 1 gold to put Spy in Their Midst into play from your hand as a character with 3 STR,a intrigue icon, stealth, and renown.

Can I return this character to playafter it was killed using Narrow Escape?

Narrow Escape

Text:
Any Phase: Put into play from their owner's dead piles or discard piles all characters that were killed or discarded this phase. Any opponent may discard his or her hand of at least 1 card to cancel this effect.

If the event - character is killed, doesn't it get a Moribund : Dead Pile on it? If it does, doesn't it have to go the Dead Pile instead of the discard pile?

From the FAQ:

(3.23) Card Type Changes to Character
Any time a non-character card type becomes
or counts as a character, it loses all other card
types it might possess while it is a character.
If for any reason, a non-character card that is
functioning as a character is killed, said card is
placed in the discard pile instead.
Effects that
trigger from said card being killed may still
apply

I see, thanks guys!
