CaliCon 2011, Brentwood, CA, September 30-October 2

By phoenixember, in 3. AGoT Organized Play

CaliCon 2011, our annual AGOT tournaments, has officially been scheduled for the weekend of Fri 9/30 - Sun 10/2. We are expecting anywhere in the neighborhood of 25-40 people this year so it should be a great turnout.

**There will be a $10 entry fee for the entire weekend to help cover the costs of prize support. Prizes will include swag from league kits, merchandise from the HBO store, various gaming stuff, etc.**

Venue locations are still being finalized, but all tournaments will definitely be held in Brentwood, CA. I will make another post when the venue is finalized, hopefully by the end of this week.

Event Schedule:
Friday 8pm - TBA, possible Dominion tournament.
Saturday 11am - AGOT Melee
Saturday (after Melee) - AGOT Draft
Sunday 11am - AGOT Joust

Any questions, please feel free to contact me (Joey Kreins) at [email protected] or 530-966-4760.

If you plan to attend and are not already on the Facebook invite, please let me know so I can get you added. I am using the RSVP on there to try and track our expected attendance.

The following hotels are nearby (no more than a 10 minute drive from the tournaments):

Hampton Inn Brentwood

Holiday Inn Express Brentwood

Comfort Suites Oakley

The venue has been finalized. We've decided to have all events at our house at 2524 Albertine Ln, in Brentwood, CA.

Looking awesome.

People should post here about CaliCon since we have a bunch of So Cal guys coming.

Or rather a bunch of San Diego guys and a few LA geezers!

Sorry it took so long to put this up....

Maester’s Challenge

For each field of study below, there is a task and a chain link of a specific color and shape. During the Melee and Joust events, players will earn a link for a particular field of study by accomplishing the task (only one link can be earned for each field of study, unless it states otherwise in the task description below). After the Joust on Sunday afternoon, the player with the longest chain will be crowned the Grand Maester (tournament points will be used as a tie breaker if needed). Of course, there will be a cool prize.
