Some people are getting good at rationalizing away non-euclidean geometry... Don't let it shatter your puny primate minds!

Speaking of movement items, does anyone happen to know the flavor for how the Ruby of R'lyeh lets you go much faster than a motorcycle would?

It opens mini-gates, duh!

That or it gives you the insight to find unknown shortcuts through the city.

-edit-

Alternatively, 'movement speed' could be seen as 'how far you can walk without needing to take a break'. The Ruby could give you unnatural stamina (not that kind of stamina!) and let you just keep walking.

I will only try them if they allow me to drive through the walls of time and space with my non-euclidean motorcycle :'D

If my LCG Cthulhu can ride a motorbike while wielding a shotgun, this will be no problem.

dj2.0: I do love the LCG, but to expect it to hold up theme-wise is futile. "The Deep One is driven insane by the sight of Dagon!" "The Bloodthirsty Star Spawn kills Bokrug with a single gunshot!" "Thomas Malone fights to a stand-still against Thomas Malone!" "Professor Armitage and Yog-Sothoth wielding a pistol face off against a group of FBI agents backed up by Shub-Niggurath in a getaway car! This is humanity's last hope!"

yes it gets very un-thematic, unless you learn to play loose with the card titles - a sniper gun wielding Dhole is really a Dhole that shoots very fast gobs of mucoid goo a very long way :)

Well... Obviously, the deep one had a human mind placed into it. Bokrug was really a very big man in a plastic suit. Thomas Malone battled his doppleganger. Uhhh... I can't really explain that last bit, but maybe Yog-Sothoth and Shub-Niggurath are film noir fans and wanted to roleplay a bit before consuming humanity?
