Basic Darrell question!

By grouik2, in Arkham Horror Second Edition

Hello,

when making an encounter in Arkham, Darrell draws two cards. What happens if he chooses an encounter which tells him : Go "there" and draw two cards. Does he draw two cards or three?

same question with Gloria in Other Worlds.

Many thanks! :D

3 and 3. Also, if you had Dragon's eye, you could use it to potentially go through four cards, and if for some reason you had another effect allowing you to draw and choose out of two encounters :') well, five?

Hypnos could cause that other effect.

I was thinking that. Anything else for six?

Thank you all! gran_risa.gif

Is this going to end up like the max clue thread where we figure out that under one very specific circumstance you would just be able to pick up the whole deck and choose your encounter?

I don't think there's any way of doing that, unless you're just playing base game encounters... In which case, maybe? Which would be pretty funny.

Veet, by your comment, I assumed that the max clue thread ended with it being a possibility that you could get all of the clues.

In which case, you could get all of the clues and spend them all on the Sneak Check for the Innsmouth Jail Cell in order to pick up the entire deck.

Sorry I actually meant max dice. A few months ago we had a discussion about how many dice could be rolled in one roll and discovered that under very specific circumstances you could roll hundreds of dice.

Ah. Oh, well. The point still stands, though.

Remember when we had that thread on how many locations could be closed at once? Good times.
