You'll probably have to wait until Lords of Winter is reprinted-- it'll be tough to find anywhere before then.
Is there any news on when such reprints are likley, i too am in the UK and am trying to track down another lords of winter as well as a copy of kings of the sea for our group. With Lions of the rock coming out november-ish i was hoping that the other house expansions may be seeing a reprint.
Is Fantasy Flight's Upcoming section at all reliable? If so, we might have a long time to wait (I'm in the same boat, I'd love to get my hands on Lords of Winter). If you looking under Upcoming at the various Game of Thrones products on the horizon, Lords of Winter seems to be the furthest from getting back into stores. Lions of the Rock, the first two chapter packs of A Tale of Champions, and all the reprinted packs from King's Landing and Defender's of the North are listed with the "At the Printer" status. Lords of Winter, on the other hand, is listed as still "In Development."
At the Printer -- "The product is at the manufacturer. The duration of this process can vary greatly depending on the characteristics of the product, from a few months for a book to many months in the case of board games, which often need to coordinate multiple companies' components such as cards, dice, miniatures, and game boards."
The relevant bit to the description of In Development -- "Reprints listed as "in development" are awaiting a new print run. Errata will be implemented whenever possible, but very few changes (if any) are otherwise made from the original print run."
Who knows what any of this means. Sadly though, we'll probably be waiting a while for Lords of Winter to get reprinted.
Im slightly surprised that FFG havent reprinted the delux expansions a little more with the success of the tv show presumably bringing in more players. I appreciate that redundant stock is a bad thing and that they have no way to predict new player influx but considering that EVERY house expansion seems to be out of print i would have thought/hoped that they would be accelerating a reprint. Of course as a new player im mostly moaning as they are not immediately available to me.
I haven't seen much problem with the other deluxe expansions. Certainly they are not universally in stock everywhere, but it's also not hard to find them either. Certainly not like Lords of Winter, which seems to just straight up not exist at the moment. LoW is the oldest of the deluxe packs I believe, and if someone has only seen the show, I wouldn't be surprised that Stark would be the house they'd be most excited for. The Core Set and Lords of Winter seems to be the two expansions FFG has had the most trouble keeping in stock, and I think the newest reprint of the Core Set just came out or will be arriving shortly.
gameslore.com and boardgameguru.co.uk are my two main suppliers of cardboard crack. Neither of them have Lords of Winter in stock, though. Thrones has been getting *really* popular lately in the UK (The player base in London has more than doubled), and the distributor didn't bring in nearly enough stock.
With regards to Kings of the Sea - Esdevium screwed up and forgot to import it. If you want it, you'll have to order from Europe or the US (eaglecard.org is very reasonable, and you'll basically be paying just above UK RRP, though I think they're out of Kings of the Sea.
Cheers for the heads up on eagle cards, although unless im missing something the UK dosen't appear to be on the list of EU shipping locations ![]()
