Vehicle Cards

My prototypes came in today...look very good...looking forward to having these on hand...Now that I know the quality of the cards, hope to offer them up soon!

Question for the community though...would these be best as sets? Ie. Base set, DotF set, Normandy set etc... or just a complete set of cards?

Thoughts?

Wow looks great. Thats a good question, as some people may not have all the titles therefor only would want the cards they have units for. Did you make up cards for the other units aswell ie. regular inf, officer etc..?

Anyway my opion is if you have done cards up for all the units, selling them as sets as you detailed would be a good idea as this would allow you to easily add new sets (if you choose to) "when" (hoping) FFG releases other expansions. And this way people wont have to buy all the cards again when a new expansion is released and new cards have been added.

BTW have done a number of solo play tests on the scenario for operation crusader and it is turing out well (close games), just trying to get some player vs player tests done soon.

Thanks Ausie_Digger! I should've mentioned too that I plan to include custom units that don't currently exist but can be had (ie. Pendraken or WTM etc...) so the sets might make even more sense as opposed to the complete collection.

I noticed too that at a certain quantity there was a price jump...so I'll want to take that into consideration.

I hadn't planned on making squad cards, just vehicles and equipment...but it's not a bad idea.

Good to hear about your scenario...I've been busy myself lately but have had the project on the back burner. Look forward to seeing it!

Awesome work Brummbar!

I agree that it probably makes the most sense to break it down by expansion (even though I have them all). I really like the look of these. I use the card supplement for Tannhauser and they make life easier by only having the stats for the things you are using out. Less confusion, especially when teaching the game to someone new.

Appreciate the work and dont forget to post here when they are ready for purchase!

Thanks much Hargon!

I was playing a scenario recently and had to use 3 different reference sheets...couldn't wait for these cards to come in.

One last question...does anyone have ideas on what they would like to see on the backs of the cards?

Right now, I just have some historic info about the vehicle and possibly an optional rule...but wonder if the space could be better used...say perhaps a summary of the rules that involve the vehicle (ie. -2 to move and shoot or how many hits does what damage).

Thoughts there?

Nice cards, Brummbar!

I'm interested into buying these, no matter if they're in sets or as a whole or whatever. What I'm also looking for though is cards for vehicles that are not in any game set right now: Russian T-70 and T-26, BA-10; German armored cars; Pz II, 38t... (I bought Perrin figures and intend to play earlier russian front situations, you see...) Also, specific cards for the Pz IV D or E and for the Russian T-85 would be welcome.

On the back of the cards, a short historical overview is fine. Optional rules are a good idea. There could also be room (space left blank) for notes, extra rules, advanced rules that could be written down with non permament marker, as needed (if the card finish allows it).

Another suggestion: can't you set up a preorder page on your website, à la GMT? Maybe you could finance this project this way. And see how people are really interested as well before investing you money in it.

Anyway: hurry up! We're waiting for those cards! gui%C3%B1o.gif

Hi,

I did a set of vehicule cards a few weeks ago. Yours are of course more professionnal and very beautiful. I think their look are a little bit Conflict of heroes oriented, but it's not a real problem.

Congratulation

Thanks, I was happy with how they turned out.

I do have quite a few Perrin/Pendraken figs myself and was planning on adding quite a few of the ones you mentioned.

Good idea for the backs. Space to write might be handy so I'll keep the historical info brief. Some of the optional ideas I have are fun so I'll keep those in.

You'll be able to order these direct as soon as they are ready to go...will post the info at that time.
