Fugitive.
Deadly.
Response: After you play The Mad Mouse from your hand, choose an opponent's character. If that character dies before the end of the next challenge phase and The Mad Mouse is still in play. The Mad Mouse claims 3 power.

Just out of curiosity, how the Mad Mouse could gain 3 power if it wasn't in play anymore? Did I miss a hidden combo?

I think you have misread The Mad Mouse's ability. When you play The Mad Mouse you choose an opponent's character. If that character (your opponent's) dies and The Mad Mouse is in play, The Mad Mouse claims power.

Obviously, The Mad Mouse cannot claim power if he's not in play.

It is redundant, but think about it. If the text wasn't there, SOMEONE with 12 power would, at some point, try to claim the power (and win) even if Mad Mouse died first under the "it doesn't say he can't claim the power if he's dead" reasoning. FFG still gets enough "if I use Khal Drogo's effect to put him into play and he dies, does he still come back to my hand?" questions that the reminder text is worth it sometimes.
