So how many of you use the Loth, have used the Loth and what do you think of the unit? Also how many points is the Loth worth, it is listed in the Tourney rules as 30 but I have card that lists it as 28.
I use the Loth every once in a while if I want to bring a tank but cannot spare the few extra point to bring the Luther. I also think the Loth shows some promise for countering some armor 3 and 4 infantry as it can charge in for 8/1 damage.

The Loth with just 1MG for ranged attack is at a huge advantage, I used it for a while but now I have more walkers and the Charge rule has changed making it pretty pathetic, I no longer use it. So basically it's the last walker left when picking my army. I can't see it of being of any real use against A3 troops as the enemy troops move faster allowing them to attack you first.
We still retain the old Charge rule for the Loth, so as not to make it too useless. My axis opponent still fields it very often, but is starting to disfavour it. I think it is a good option for scenarios where the enemy will have to get up close to you, it is a good unit to block an advance.

Sorry, should have said '...huge disadvantage'
Where do you get a Loth card from?
Officially, the Unit Card Upgrade Pack.
Unofficially, the internet.
Or, being a little more helpful:
So the Loth is Luther with two claw pincher arms?
OK then.
Thanks, but Unit Upgrade Pack was a good answer. While I don't mind doing house rules & counts as, I don't see a real active DT group here locally anytime soon, which is one reason I'm looking for official cards.
Someone posted the cards from the Card Pack over at BGG, and I found this interesting little tidbit:
Aside from a very cool new picture, the Loth card shows an Army Point cost of 28, instead of the 30 that was published in the SeeLowe book and is still what the little "updated point cost" document in the Support section of the website shows. Is this just a misprint like in the Action Jackson card, or is this a revised points cost?!
Sigh... Are they going to have a card replacement pack for the card replacement pack?
Got a response from FFG:
The Army Point Value listed on the Loth unit card in the Unit Card Upgrade Pack is the correct value. Look for a new Updated Army Point Costs document on the website soon.
Good to know that the only issue is the Action Jackson card, which will only affect people who have gotten it as a promo (I'd imagine that's a pretty small number, and they should be able to get a replacement from FFG.)
Yeah, to screw up the Loth card (which for many people is the sole reason to get the card pack) would be a real shame.
To be honest, if I was in charge of this stuff at FFG, and we screwed up the Loth card by 2 points, marking it as 28 instead of 30, I would be inclined to tell people that the card is correct and update the online pdf file, than admit the mistake and give everyone new cards. Just sayin'... :-)
Yeah, the thought had occurred to me.
Well, the revised Loth cost is now online. They've updated the Support page, the Point Cost list has been replaced with the Army Planning Sheet, and it lists the Loth as costing 28AP. That's the same cost as a light walker like the Honey...

Yes, but the Honey (and pretty much all of the original four light walkers) applies vacuum pressure to the large green generative organ of a male donkey. Not saying they don't have a place in a list, but for what you get (at least until Reactive Fire gets some improvement), not worth the points. The Honey is the worst of the lot IMO. Waaaaaay too much hit or miss on that damage. Yes, if you have hot dice, you can blast something, but if you don't... Something like an average of 2/3 of an infantry and 1/3 of a point on a walker. Wheeeee!
