Question: Are they going to create a city expansion?

I hope so, since I would like all of the expansions in the orginal, plus any they want to add would be awesome!!! The original 4th addition was the best board game that was ever made!!! So far I love the new twist and turns FantasyFlight is doing with the new 4th addition...it is awesome!!!happy.gif

Two corner expansions are still to go and we're going to wait until 2012 or 2013 before we know. I'm quite confident that the City will be re-done for 4ER and it's one of the most intriguing expansions. Will they be able to make a City Expansion that provides exciting new options, without imbalancing the game or breaking the standard movement/adventure flow? Every Talisman fan will be at least "curious" about the 4th edition City.

Off course!

Fantasy Flight will make all the corners from talisman third edition.

That includes the City and Forest toogui%C3%B1o.gif

But the Dragon expansion was on the high list of wanted expansions, so we got it sooner as usual.gran_risa.gif

I think that the city need a lot of time to create new idea's what characters can buy in the city, without bringing the game out of balance.

I suspect that the City will be released sooner than the forest expansionhappy.gif

Cool I can't wait!!

The new Dragon king expansion looks good, but I miss having the tower to climb. I worry that there are too many new rules with the Dragon expanson, but i will have to give it a try first.

Thanks,

Randy

I think he worries because he has already had a look there. I'm also concerned about the draw token mechanic that will considerably slow down gameplay. I had a game of Talisman last evening and it had some dragging moments: I could not imagine having played the same game with the Dragon expansion...

Combine two spell-cycling Characters and the tokens, and you'll have a double-length Talisman. I will buy the Dragons because I think it has nice cards, Characters and ideas inside, but I'm just as worried as rfh0.

I already have a house rule in mind, that will utilize all new cards, but with no maintenance task that can slow the game.

Hi the_Warlock,

You can easily resolve the problem by using the dragon domain ending mechanic, so that you can use only the new dragon cards in the game, without placing tokens on the board.

The tokens will then only be used if you defeat a enemy from a dragon lord deck.

I like this idea better than the token ruleshappy.gif

LOL, I know exactly what you mean Randy about having the Tower to climb. I climbed that tower every time I reached the end. It would take me an extra 20 seconds just to make sure my character miniature touched each step on his way up to the top. And it sure pissed off the other players. gran_risa.gif
