Online Meta Last Attempt

By lalchant, in 1. AGoT General Discussion

Trying to get some consistent octgn games going here. Since my original post on this topic I have found that most people willing to play online are very casual players, who more than likely will play once a month. Iam looking to start an online octgn player base that is more focused on improvement . Is there anybody out there that shares the same goals? Once again my Skype info louie.vent Please contact if interested. New players welcome.

I'm not on skype, but would be interested in this. I'm in the UK, though, so finding a time could be an issue depending on your time zone.

I know there are a lot of very competitive players who play regularly on OCTGN...unfortunately, three weeks after GenCon is just not a very good time to look. My guess is that in the next couple of months, you'll have more success.

Just look for threads with these peoples' contact info and shoot them a message.

I know I normally play a lot on OCTGN (leading up to gencon usually 3-7 games a day) however lately my son has been sleeping terribly (teething :( )...

I play OCTGN at least three or four games four times a week. Know i play 70% with the same five or so guys and i use AIM to find players or wippen when that fails. Add me to your AIM info [email protected] if you want a game.

I don't know how "competitive" I qualify as, but as soon as I get around to setting up OCTGN on my laptop, I'll be available to play probably a couple times a week. I don't Skype, however; is that a huge handicap to good online play?

No skype is not required for good online play and honestly i dont even like it. I use ventrlio when i want to chat with others while playing.

Does OCTGN work on a Mac? From what I read on the site it seems no... lengua.gif

I've had no problem finding good competitive players on OCTGN.

clearly the problem is that there is no consensus as to where to congregate when looking for a game.

I have heard people suggest:

Look in a thread

go on aim

go in the irc

go on wippen

join a skype thing

I think we need a public ventrillo server or something that any one can join and can join for free.

i would be interested in that the thing i dont like and cant realy understand is that there is still no mac version but indeed either a bootcamp or a VM should work.

I'd be interested in some Online play, but I'm not 100% sure what I'm doing (or how to play online). I have already d/l OCTGN though.

I would like to take part in an online meta but it seems like every time I play with an unknown they are expecting me to teach them how to play thrones. I will play with some veterans though provided they have skype.

I'd love to get some games in online. I'm only a semi noob, know how to play but some of the advanced tactics are beyond me at this point. I have a smattering of messenger programs but what I'd really like is a short rundown about OCTGN. Where do I get it? How does it work ect.

I was set up to play on OTGN, got about 5 games in and now can't connect any more. Which is real bummer, because it was fun playing decks that I wouldn't build for playing IRL.
