A set of alternative or replacement cards for the gem-based Object/Trinkets in the Highlands adventure deck. They allow players under certain conditions to spend gems like gold instead of having to run to City's Alchemist to first exchange them for gold. That's spend , not use as in the Alchemist's ability by gold (he could still use them as a single object ).

As stated, you can add them directly or use them as replacements for the raw gems in the deck. The package can be found the Fantastic Diversions download page (see my sig) or you can wait until that are appear on the Highlands page at BoardGameGeek.com sometime within a week. The package includes instructions for use.

Again...something simple yet crafty and related to how the real world works. Precious gems fluctuating in value during the game, nice touch!

Thank you. Only two of the lowest value (Sapphire & Opal) do that. The others have a defined value. But all can be spent... and all give you no change if you have to spend them for less than their value.
