Neutral Characters/No Challenge Icons

By ShadeGOT, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

In searching the forums I did not come across any topics that shed light on this issue.

I am a hobby GOT player with some friends, and have many of the cards presently available. Among them are piles of neutral characters with no challenge icons. I am trying to figure out a use for them, since I understand that they cannot be declared as attackers or defenders if they do not have the appropriate challenge icon.

I do understand that there are some ways to make characters participate after the declaration, but will these be easy enough to utilize to make a neutral deck actually worth it?

I'm guessing you mean the Night's Watch characters. When The Wall is in play, they can be put into play as defenders even if they don't have the appropriate icon. Plus, you can give them icons by running the three Night's Watch Agendas.

I believe you are likely correct. I am familiar with The Wall, but will investigate if I have the three Nights Watch Agendas or not. Otherwise I have found no real use for them.

Thank you.
