General questions

By frogemoth, in Talisman Rules Questions

I have a few questions for you fellow talisman players.

1) What happen if death is moved to the end of the Highland or the Dungeon?

2) Should I be allowed to cast Invisibility or Brainwave (I am sure it applies to other spells as well) at the start of my turn even if the spell ends up not helping me in my turn, just so that I can take another spell? These 2 spells state 'as required' which leads me to believe I can.

1) Death can be moved to any space on the Outer or Middle Region of the main board or to any space on the opposing board.

2) Yes perfectly acceptable.

Ell.

Can the player who moved death to the end of the Dungeon or Highland send it to another player who must then face it? Opposite board included? Then there is no way to evade it unless you are in the inner region, this will change our games radically. If it is official then we will follow the rule.

yes you can.

we use the rule, that the grim reaper can only choose one of the spaces that is mentioned on the treasure chamber in the dungeon (excluding inner region spaces) ( this makes more sense)

But for the Highland expansion, the grim reaper can teleport to any space in the outer or middle region, as a character can, when defeating the eagle king.

It looks pretty weird if the grim reaper can teleport to any space from the dungeon chamber. He should choose one of the locations that is written on that space.

Anyway, i think that this situation will never happen in our games..

Well it has happened in ours, when we want to evade death because a player has misfortune for example this was the only way. I think I will suggest your rule over the official one, death + misfortune has killed so many players that it wouldn't be fair if there is no way to avoid it.

Yeah it is pretty dangerous if you combine misfortune with a teleporting reaper from the dungeon.

But even with the fairly rule i mentioned about the dungeon, the reaper can always choose to go to the eagle king space in the highland, to try to land on characters in the outer and middle region of the mainboard.

If i would see that, i would run away from the mainboard then..
