So, the rules for Lt. encounters state:
"At the start of the encounter the overlord automatically puts into play, for free, the lieutenant’s Power card; and if he has any treachery, may spend it on a hand of cards at normal costs. Additionally, 2 cards without a treachery cost may be added for 1 treachery of the correct type (no Power cards). Cards may be played or discarded for threat as normal, but can only be played once."
So, you can add two non-treachery cards for one treachery (as long as both types match). Let's say you have at least one event treachery and you want to have Danger in your hand for free threat. You could add the treachery version of Danger, or you could convert the one event treachery card to two event non-treachery cards and get the normal Danger, plus another card (Aim, Dodge, Charge, whatever). Wouldn't this be better? You get either more threat if you discard both cards, or the same amount of threat plus another card.
Am I interpreting this correctly? The only reason I'm asking is because a number of guides I've read recommend picking the treachery version of Danger for Lt. encounters, and I just can't see why. The only reason I can think of is if you want to play TWO Dangers immediately, to do some big coup de grace.
