Scenario Creation Rules

By Devain, in Dust Tactics General Discussion

When Dust Tactics was advertised, and I'm talking about the video that FFG produced, Paolo Parente said that there would be rules included for scenario design. Do these exist somewhere and I've just missed them, or is this something that simply didn't survive on its way to the printers?

I've not seen anything like that except for a page in the original rules.

Wonder what we might see in the book for Dust Warfare?

Set up board

Set up terrain (the little squares)

Roll type of battle: 1-2 Meeting engagement, 3-4 Pitched Battle, 5-6 Assault

Roll purpose: 1-2 Kill them all, 3-4 Capture the Flag, 5-6 Multiple objective

Choose point level

Roll dice for side, winner picks side of board to play on.

Set up obstacles: d3 for each of crates and tank traps on the middle tile(s)

Set up and play game for eight turns or until one force is wiped out.

Meeting Engagement: Both sides come on the field from opposite edges

Pitched Battle: Both sides set up half their forces on the row of tiles closest to them, the rest enter during play

Assault: The winner of the deployment roll can choose to be the defender. The defender sets up half his units on his half of the board (rounding down so in a three wide tile setup, on the four rows of squares closes to him. The rest may enter anywhere on his side starting on turn two. The attacker must enter on his side.

How to win:

Kill them all: highest VP total killed at the end of the game.

Capture the flag: Each player has an objective square on his side of the board, if someone holds both, they win, if not, go to Kill them all.

Multiple objective: roll d6 objectives, each player alternates placing on per 3x3 tile until they are gone. Winder is the one who occupies the most objectives, otherwist go to Kill them all.
