I still think Targ has a decent match up against the maester Robert build. Targ maester is (in my opinion) much faster than Targ shadows/summer, but either one can get the jump on Bara with an early Hatchling Feast, and an early King's Landing Assassin or Dragon Skull (shadows cards) can really slow the Bara player down, even if the Targ deck takes a couple rounds to draw into some attachment removal. Since the Bara deck plays Threat, there are 2x Threat in the game, which is just brutal for the Bara player if the Targ player plays the deck correctly (and doesn't get exceedingly unlucky).

I'm not saying the Targ maester beats the Bara maester every time, but I think the odds are generally in Targ's favor. Targ can get rolled if it gets a slow start, as it sometimes tends to do (especially the shadows version, which plays all that expensive stuff and lots of locations). Since the maester Robert build is incredibly fast, a bad setup can definitely allow a Bara player to squeak out a win.

All in all though, I think people just aren't used to playing against aggro (especially power rush) builds. Although I'm still expecting some sort of change/errata to the chains (just because of the way they're being used), even (or especially) if that doesn't happen, I expect to see the metagame shift toward Targ. Meanwhile, summer Martell will probably typically beat Targ, Lanni will beat Martell, and we'll have this nice little rock-paper-scissors environment :)

Where Stark and Greyjoy just fight each other in the North? :P
Choke still has a pretty strong stranglehold unless you can get Bobert out on setup.

Really? Bara has such great reducers (and strong weenies), I am surpised by this. If you get a great choke set-up (multiple of that warship that stops the first trigger in marshalling) I guess.

Multiple copies of that card don't do more than one copy. There will only ever be one first ability triggered. The one after that is the second one, even if the first one was cancelled.

Even so. At least in my testing, if the Bara player doesn't get Robert in the first couple turns, it's gonna be really hard.
