VB vs Jorah's Cohorts

By SummerSeaCaptain, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

Hi everyone, just a clarification about timing in response. After reading the FAQ, and trying to understand the time flow, I tried to think how will it resolve if I'm (targ player with Jorah's cohorts on table) attacking against martell (that has one blade out) and I win the pow challenge.

In the fourth framework action of the challenge phase there are 4 challenge event, with the last one being "4.renown is awarded". If I check the framework action window I see that between framework event only "save/cancel response" are allowed. I assume that heither the VB and JC response are "save/cancel" response, so the first opportunity to trigger them is in step 5. of the framework action window, after the 4th event (renown is awarded).

As I'm the active player, I start with my response of the Jorah Cohorts and discard the VB. The other player has no save/cancel response. That means that the Blade goes in moribund state but his owner can still start his own response and put the blade back in shadow, right?

Inside a framework action window, the First Player has the first opportunity to trigger a response. So it depends on who the First Player is, not on who the active player is. Also, once a card has been removed from play and has become moribund, it cannot be removed from play again. So if the VB player is the First Player, he gets to trigger VB's response first, which would then be unaffected by JC (because it's already on its way to Shadows). If the JC player is First Player, he can trigger JC's ability to discard VB, leaving the other player without the possibility of returning VB to Shadows (because it's already on its way to the discard pile).

ok so I missed a pair of thing, but I think I'm starting to understand the whole timing thing. Thanks a lot!
