Corruption - am I doing something wrong?

By player1443430, in Warhammer Invasion Rules Questions

Hi,

Chaos and Dark Elfs based numerous of cards and effects on Corrupted cards, but during my plays I can corrupt maybe 3-4 cards. It's a very small number and it's hard to based tactic on such... nothing!

So I want to precise rules to be absolutely sure:

1. Unit is corrupted only by effect on chaos card? Is there something else?

2. Each player can un-corrput one unit at the beggining of his turn? What?! So my small numbers dissapear very shortly...

thx in advance!

Cards only get corrupted if a card effect explicitly states it. They can get corrupted through their own effects ("Corrupt this card to ...", "This unit enters play corrupted") or through others' ("Corrupt target unit", "Units enter this zone corrupted"). Most cards that corrupt others belong to Chaos indeed. If you've played Magic, you might be used to units tapping when they attack or use effects, this is not the case here.

A player can restore just one unit during his kingdom phase (not at the beginning of his turn), correct. There are cards that allow you to restore more, but they aren't used often usually.

If you want to base a deck around corruption, you will want to have a lot of ways to corrupt units, ideally single cards that can corrupt repeatedly (examples: http://deckbox.org/whi/Bule,%20Lord%20of%20Pus and http://deckbox.org/whi/Esli'an ) and you'll want to use cards to corrupt that offer additional benefits (like http://deckbox.org/whi/Cloying%20Quagmire ) as well as cards that allow you to benefit from the corruption beyond keeping those units from attacking/defending (like http://deckbox.org/whi/Winged%20Fury or http://deckbox.org/whi/Tainted%20Well ).

Thanks mate!! I just wanted to be sure if there is no other way for it.. Thanks for tips!
