Call of the Cthulhu: The Card Game
's Organized Play is starting soon and the Adventure Leagues are your chance to become a part of the Mythos!
In the
Call of Cthulhu LCG
Adventure League, each player takes the role of one of the 7 Faction icons: Cthulhu, Shub-Niggurath, Yog-Sothoth, Hastur, Richard Upton Pickman (Syndicate), Professor Albert Wilmarth (Miskatonic U.), or Thomas F. Malone (Agency). After picking an ally faction, players build a league deck from a limited card pool with cards from these two factions plus neutral cards.
During every league game players acquire Currency . This is used by league participants to purchase Upgrades that give players awesome abilities, such as being able choose one of the story cards that starts in play, giving all your characters fast, or starting with an extra domain. These enhancements add an additional layer of strategy and depth as you become wrapped in the mystery, and feel the Call of Cthulhu during league play.
Call of Cthulhu leagues are run on a six-weeks-on, two-weeks-off schedule. The limited card pool ensures league games are accessible and enjoyable for newer players, and challenging established players with a new setting. New players can begin building their collections for constructed play, while simultaneously gaining experience against veterans in a more casual setting. Leagues provide structured play, tracking, and great custom prizes.
