Dragon Sight and Stealth.

By Mortem_Angelis, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

When Dragon Sight is in play is the player that is using it still able to use stealth on the opponent since he declares Defenders before attackers are declared. My friends and I lean towards no since stealth is supposed to be used after attackers and before defenders are declared. But i was hoping someone might verify this for me.

While using Dragon Sight you lose any chance to declare Stealth

you and your friends were right

Cool Thanks for the clarification.

For all practical purposes, you are correct. With Dragon Sight, where the defenders are declared before the attackers are declared, the attackers will not be able to use Stealth to keep defenders out of the challenge.

It is important to note, though, that the attacker will still have the opportunity to declare stealth. It doesn't help at all for Stealth itself because you cannot use stealth to "un-declare" a defender. Once participating, they cannot be removed except with an effect that specifically says "remove from challenge." However, it could be important for "after you declare stealth" type Responses, like Poisoned Knife or Lost Oasis.
