Whn the dragon or hellhound attack, is their only option the breath, or car they still attack without the breath template?

There was a change in the FAQ at some point which made the use of the Breath attack optional. So you can just do an ordinary attack with either or both of these monsters.

the same goes for blast and bolt attacks. all three are optional and do not have to be used.
