I haven't read through this huge expanse of a thread, but would this group be recruiting? I haven't gotten to play Rogue Trader as of yet, though I have had quite a bit of fun looking through the books. The couple Dark Heresy games I've been in have been worked in such a way that the Rogue Trader books were used along side DH, but the group had needed a different type of character. I've been playing RPGs for... well years now, so it wouldn't take me long to come up with a concept that would go along great with the group most likely. Really interested, so I hope you get back to me soon.

Going through some builds in Rogue Trader, I'm pondering over an Arch-Militant who started out as just another Skitarii warrior, having been recruited from a nearby Death World at a young age, something along the lines of Dusk (one of the only Death Worlds I know very much about). While I might normally go with an Explorator, as I've played a Magos in Dark Heresy a few times, it's because I've played a Magos a few times that I'd rather go with the Arch-Militant Career Path. I'd hope to make it somewhat a mix of the two Career paths, to a point of course. Starting out with a good quality bionic (which I haven't chosen yet), Tech-Use, and a "Dark Secret" of some kind which I haven't quite settled on as of yet, as I know so little about the setting which the GM is using at this point. I've attained these things through the Origin Path choices I've made, which does depend a little on how much extra xp I get, because I used three choices from Into the Storm.
So, with that in mind I would like to ask since you have been playing this game for a while, what extra experience points should I get? The initial 500xp the basic character receives, or something more along the lines of someone who's been in the game for a while? I personally, would prefer just a bit more experience since I remember someone in the thread commenting on that they had already gotten to 8000. Now I'm not asking for 8000 experience, but the Origin Path choices that I would like come out to 600 experience. So, having even 1000 experience would be beneficial to me. Of course it would be nice if I was allowed to create a character that came equal or even just under the character with the lowest amount of experience. I wouldn't want to push my luck however, so I'm just giving suggestions at this point.
Another question I came up with, is if we would be getting any acquisitions for starting gear or something of the nature to put us up to what some of the other players have gotten? If not, that's fine, it doesn't really change too much. Also, since I'm starting to work on my character, do you have to see dice rolls for stats, and the other various rolls that need to be made during character creation?
Todays game is being postponed due to me having to finish Finals Research work at the University so the game might be moved to during the week just this time as I will be done with school for the semester. Or pick up next weekend. I am sorry to drop this on you guys suddenly but I did not manage to finish all my research in time to be free this weekend. Hey if you guys are still open for players, I'm down. Read through some of the posts, and noticed an opening for a Navigator so I created one. I've GM'ed Dark Heresy and Rogue trader since they both came out, not to mention other games for several years, so experience wise I considered myself "Crack".

I'd really love to try my hand at RT, I've played most of the other games save this one. Long time 40k fan too.
Notice to the players the game will be on hold till January 7th due to me traveling you can still PM me with questions if you wish. We will resume on the 7th after the holiday season. In the mean time I will be posting a summery of events in the form of a narrative story from the point of view of a character.
