Eldars?

By Adaras, in Rogue Trader

Hey everybody.

This question has probaly been asked before but I feel like I need to ask it anyway.

I really love Eldar and now that you are able to play both Kroot and Ork. What are the chances Eldar player character will be a reality?

I don't like Kroots, their role is in field, but they do nothing on the ship.

The Ork can be a sort of mechanic and it's the only fun thing about it, because otherwise, the only thing he can do on a ship is the Twistcatcher.

It could be fun have an Eldar and an Ork on the same ship; it's like a Sororitas and a Malefic Scholar in the same party! Lol!

Other than making exceptional bridge staff, due to having high Perception and Unnatural Perception, which makes them great at using the sensors and actions that revolve around that.

10 degrees of success on a Lock-On Target isn't exceptional, it's broken. Ship actions really need some sort of limiter on their successes.

Possibly, but until then, Kroot make amazing Augur crew.

Errant, I have a house-fix for starship combat, which can be applied to most things - Your success limiter is equal to your Attribute bonus (if the task is challenging or better, add the difficulty modifier divided by ten to this cap).

This isn't a clean fix, and should not be applied universally, but I find that this mitigates the worst excesses of 'over 9000' successes. So far i have mainly used this in Social encounters due to the insane stacking bonusses of the RT (he still gets great results, but knows he isn't going to go all God Emperor every time he speaks now) and the aforementioned lock-on due to the Flight Marshal having some nasty per/ag combos both on and off the bridge.
