First round of finished Dust models!

By Bravester, in Dust Tactics

Hey all,

Figured I might as well post some pictures of what I have gotten done from my Core Set so far~it isn't much, as I have been wrapping up a bunch of (sadly) non-Dust Tactics commissions, and have only been able to peck at my models here and there. Still, you guys will see more from me; the Pounder, Ludwig, and a unit of Battle Grenadiers are all sitting on my desk in varying stages of completion.

On to the pictures! Let's start with my Luther. This was my first finished Dust Tactics model. I am quite happy with him, and he only took me about a day to paint. Since I took these pics, I have made the blood stains on the snow look more natural, and less glaring.

And here is my Hotdog; he has since been based and finished since these photographs were taken.

And a test model, to set the color scheme for my Axis armor 2 Infantry. Very happy with this guy, though he is a bit rough!

Hoping to get a LOT more done on my Dust Tactics models this weekend, as I have gotten most of my other commission all wrapped up!

Hope you guys like what you see, and even if you don't, feel free to let me know!

Cheers!

Bravester

I like them. I flocked my infantry in snow, so I am glad to see that mine looks the same (if that is complete?). I was originally not happy with the snow, but I guess it works.

Thanks! The key with getting snow to look right is applying a layer of Vallejo Gloss Varnish over the snow ares; it looks much more "real" that way.

Good job! I especially like the luther...what´s on the background at the base?

Wow, kinda amazed with the pool of paint talents here in the forums. Can't wait to see more from everyone.

Thanks! The stuff on his base is chopped up and twisted wire mesh. It works pretty well when it comes to simulating blown up fencing.

@Azriel: Yeah, it is pretty cool, esp. considering that, technically, this is just a boardgame! It will be interesting to see the pool of painters expand when Warfare comes out!
