Is it possible to attach a character to Jory Cassel that is already in my dead pile?

Jory Cassel's text box: Marshalling: You may attach any Stark character from your hand to Jory Cassel as a duplicate if he has no other duplicates attached.

To me it seems this is neither playing a character nor taking control of a character (that is already in my dead pile). But I am not sure because I take control of the duplicate... which should have no text at that point of time...

Aaargh I think FFG should start to include FAQs in their cps that answer questions regarding the cards in the cp.

Duplicates have no title.

And anyway, as Rogue points out, when you use Jory's ability, the dupe card is never in play with its own title and identity beyond "duplicate of Jory."
