I do not mean how to buy a talisman in game, but where to buy a REAL Talisman talisman. In my old 4th Edition from Black Industries is (together with a flyer from Capcom announcing Talisman computer game fro XBOX, PS, and PC) a flyer advertising merchandising articles, like shirts and jewellery, on www.blacklibrary.com/merchandising. As that no longer exists and the rights are now with FFG and wonder if someone knows a source for buying a real talisman (in the flyer was a nice picture from such an amulett connected to a lether necklace)? I think it would be a nice gift for my wife (and hey, wouldnt it be cool to have 4 of them replacing that "cheap" talisman cards in the game).

PS: Because of some other project I am doing, I stumbled upon www.shapeways.com (no advertising intended, you could also google for every other rapid 3d printer company), which offer to "print" steel with gold or bronze finishing or even in complete sterling silver - all I need for that is a 3d model of the talisman (and I am not sure if I am artistic enough to generate one myself). So if none know a source for the talisman a 3d file of it would be good too.

I have been after the same thing. Contacted Black Industries, since they still have a Talisman "pin" for sale on their site, but it wasn't available anymore =(

Thinking about making my own in some kind of material, but getting a professional smith create them would ofcourse give a better result.

I will watch this thread if anything happens, or write here if I find anything.

My friend Jamie is a talented blacksmith who sources his metals from India. I have spoken to him about producing a Talisman and a mould for multiple copies and he is in the process of sorting it!

What size are you planning?

The "pattern" on both sides? Or flat on one side?

Holes/hooks for a chain?

Place for/or included small gem?

Specs, pictures and prices would be interesting in this ever happens =)

This sounds nice, if you want to supply your friend a picture for better crafting/artwork I could do a highres scan of the talisman from the flyer.

i got a quote from a smith i know to make medalions but i'm not sure if i could even sell them due to copyright and stuff like that. I'd need to order a minimum of 50 as well.

Yeah, not sure on the copyright thing. But if its possible, put me down for 4 of them.

You don't sell the talismans themselves, you package them in zip-loc bags, sell the bags (for what seems to be an outrageous price) and toss the talismans in for free.
