[Question] Imperial Armour:: max. Altitude of a skimmer/hover vehicle?

By Gregorius21778, in Dark Heresy

Hi folks,

a very special questions.

I know from owning one of the publications that Forgeworlds "Imperial Armour" books cover a lot of "additional detail" for the vehicles of the miniatures range of the table top. Like "how deep a Chimera can get into the water".

Is there some kind of "max. altitude" given for any skimmer/hover vehicle?

I included some kind of "hover truck" in on of my adventures and the question came up from a player planing to follow one of these.

You are the GM, make it up as you please! I know that some of you are already forming these words in their minds while reading.
And of course, I can. But since I start to reference to some this works for such questions, I would like to ask the people around here if one fellow forum user has a copy of the more recent "IA" and is willing to share such stats for any hover vehicle. "for comparisson".

Thank you!

Space marine landspeeders have a ceiling of 100m

Most skimmers are actually flyers in 40k - except probably of landseppeder and tau vehicles. However, im not certain about Tau.

Some skimmers, whether fan or anti-grav powered (hey, there are perks to being disgustingly super-rich and powerful. And on the more advanced worlds I'd like to think anti-grav is a lot more common), that are built for 'civilian' use might come with built in altitude limiters, for safety, bureaucratic/legal, or just practical reasons.

Perhaps 40 metres is the common lane, while 60 metres is reserved for use by important personages, or emergency vehicles.

While I can't see skimming or flying vehicles being too common, you have to remember to look at things relatively, as a hivecity of a few billion people (even several hundred million) is still going to have a lot of aerial traffic.
