Cylon in the brig

By player1555276, in Battlestar Galactica

Hey guys,

I'm quite excited to join this new community as me and my friends got addicted to BSG.

A few questions though in hopes that it#s already been discussed:

If a cylon is in the brig, can he reveal himself and then go to the ressurection ship?
If the result of a crisis card says you need to discard 3 cards and you don't have them - what do you do?

What does Exodus add to the game? I saw that number 3 is in there (I LOVE HER!), what is the purpose if she apparently is not a character you can pick?

Thanks a lot and hope to hear from you soon! :)

Andy

Welcome!

Yes, a cylon can reveal from the brig. They discard down to 3, grab their super crisis and go to Resurrection Ship. Their reveal effect (e.g., Leoben's forcing a loss of 1 morale) is negated.

If a card tells you to discard X cards and you do not have enough, you must discard your entire hand.

Exodus adds a number of modules that refresh the game for veteran players, and I'd argue that it's certainly the strongest expansion, but it's by no means necessary if you're still having fun with the base set.

Hope this helps!

Is the discard down to 3 cards for any cylon? Or only for Cylon Leaders?

If you go to the ressurection ship and stay there one turn, can you get more super crisis cards? How many can you have, or do you exchange like it was with the base game?

Also, if you have two pilots being attacked by a raider, how do you pick which one gets attacked first?

I read somewhere that you can do a house rule of giving an agenda card to every player in the game, and once someone is revealed as a cylon, they can become a cylon leader. How does that work? Can you do that in a game with a cylon leader already in play? (I love playing as Six).

I just bought exodus...this game is just TOO good! :P

Thanks again for the help guys!

And if anyone wouldn't mind adding me to msn in case I have someone with a bit more experience to debate the game with, or tips and things I might face with the expansions please add me on a [email protected]

Great to have new players, glad you like the game!

There are a lot of house rules on these forums and on BGG, and the answer to any house rule questions can usually be found by searching the forums or by asking the person who made the original post. I would not recommend using multiple Cylon Leaders; they unbalance the game a bit and if they both have "Cylons win and..." or "Humans win and..." agendas, the game would get really messy. In fact, that whole house rule sounds like it would make a mess of the game to me.
