Okay, so I've taken the jump into the game and picked up a copy of the Core Set. Seeing that there is only 1 copy of each card in the pre-constructed decks, how many Core Sets do you recommend? I'm thinking 2? Thanks in advance!

Getting two core sets will give you a nice base of many useful cards, although if you plan on picking up the big box expansions, some of them are being reprinted in those.

Personally, I have two core sets and don't regret the purchase whatsoever.

Quick answer: I have 2, that's a good round number.

Long answer: Depends on your goal/use of the cards. Are you planning on going to tourneys? Get 2-3. Use like a boardgame? Get one or two. Like looking at the pictures? Get one. Planning on trading with friends, each of you buying a Core set and playing one house? Get one.

I bought 3 core sets. If you want to play competitively, you'll need 3. If not, 2 will suffice.
