Three questions

By nikotina, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

1. When a character loses its additional STR (for example, at the end of a phase after using an "until the end of the phase" effect), does it trigger "when a character's STR is lowered" effects?

2. What happens when more two characters have the "Dragon Fear" attachment when the claim value is 1? Does the losing player choses which one to kill?

EDIT:

3. Pyromancer's Cache reads "Attach to a location you control. Kneel that location." It doesn't literally say when to kneel the location, so does it stay premanently knelt? Or can I kneel it every time I want since it is not an action/response?

Consider the cards that say things like "cannot have its STR lowered." If STR bonuses wearing off were considered the same as lowering STR, then all those "until the end of the challenge" and "until the end of the phase" boosts would never go away - and it'd be really hard to remember what its STR actually is as time goes on.

No. Losing a +X STR bonus is not considered the same as lowering STR. Only the application of a -X STR "bonus" is considered to be lowering STR.

Thanks for everything. I already knew the answer to question number 1, but I just wanted to check if there was something officially written about it (I read the Rules and latest FAQ and found nothing about this, perhaps I missed it). I know one always should follow the common sense approach when interpreting cards, but if there is no official clarification of some rule, could my interpetation be technically correct? Or maybe the wording on the cards is what counts, and if it doesn't say "lowering" it isn't "lowering"? Is there more feedback from the creators regarding card interpretation?

Thanks again!

Your interpretation could be technically correct from a verbal/grammatical point of view. It is within the context of the game where it doesn't hold up. That sort of situation (logic follows from grammar, but not from game usage/context) can admittedly be pretty difficult to wrap your head around.
