Plot and control change questions

By MikeS3, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

I have two unrelated rules questions:

1. There are several cards that allow you to reveal new Plot cards during and after the Plots phase. When a new Plot is revealed after the first revealing of Plots in the Plot phase, what all happens? I assume initiative is fixed after the initial revealing, so that will be unchanged. I further assume that income is only counted during your active turn in the Marshalling phase, so if you switch out the Plot before you count income, the income of the new Plot counts. Claim should be counted only when you've won a challenge, so switching a Plot can give you a new claim. What about "on reveal" abilities? Will those happen only in the Plots phase, or any time a Plot is revealed, even if it's in the challenge phase, say?

2. When a kneeling character changes control, does he stand, or does he stay knelt?

Thanks!

1. You've mostly answered your own question. The initiative count changes, but it is irrelevant beyond the determination of the initiative winner as part of the Plot phase framework. As for income, as you said, it is counted as a framework action in the marshalling phase, so outside of that, income is not relevant either. Your claim value is always checked during each challenge resolution, so any challenge uses your current claim value. And when you reveal a new plot outside of the framework action of the Plot phase, you still reveal it, so when revealed effects would be triggered.

2. The card stays knelt. A change of control does only that, it does not affect the card in any other way (the card stays in its current standing/kneeling position, any tokens remain on the card). Keep in mind that when control of a character changes, the control of any attachments on that character does not change.
