Weird/ Awkward even. While painting some figures tonight I noticed that one of my Laser Grenadiers has the wrong legs on him. He has the Officer Legs like the one in the Command Squad has. Fortunately I had a spare guy lying around with no head so I was able to do a leg swap. Is this a error or is one of the Laser Grenadiers supposed to be different like that?
Leg Issue?
The high-boots guy? I think that's just how FFG did 'em. Maybe that's the commander...well, that was until you swapped out his legs. Now he's demoted. LOL.
Mine are like that, at least.
Yeah, not a big fan of them like that. But I did think it might be a way to designate the NCO/Officer of the Squad, But since that doesnt do anything in game terms, no big loss (unless it does do something in Dust Warfare!).
Oddly enough, it was also the model my dog got a hold of and all the dog did was damage the base and put a few nicks in the legs, so now that Ive swapped them out he is fully fixed LOL. I may patch up the legs with some green stuff, add a holster and knifte to it and swap them for Manfred's legs so he has the Jodpurs and riding boots!

Hah! Luckily my dog has no interest in chewing anything without meat attached...unfortunately my cats need to be kept out of the room where I store my game pieces. I have heard more than a few tales of cats eating/hiding miniatures.
But yeah, I think that's the officer you switched the boots on. The fact that it makes no game difference is oddly funny. Maybe at some point FFG will make the NCO/officer unit significant. I'd like to see that especially given that we have snipers now.
My post just got duped...so since I can't delete it, I had to type this.
That was the sergeant for the Laser Grenadiers. I have no idea why he would wear riding pants, although lots of Germans, and some allies, did where them in the field.

Im thinking they gave them the boots and different pants so they wouldnt have to do another arm sculpt for the Laser Grenadier Laser Guns, you know, so he could be holding it one handed and pointing like all the other sergeants.
Its not a problem for me to still make him the squad leader, once I put decals on their shoulder pads.
