The whole Frodo/Muck Adder topic has been addressed, but in the addressing of this topic another topic was brought up, about an enemy of higher attack damage than Frodo's HP of 2. Some tend to think it will be blocked point for point meaning an attack of 5 would yield 5 threats. Some might think it would be only the damage Frodo could have taken, hence 1 or 2 threats added. I think the intent was attack damage will equal threat increase. Therefeore, 5 = 5. Any other opinions?

were was this addressed at? i didn't see an updated faq.

Thanks,

Thanks,

OK, thanks. I check the faq thread.

Ok, another Frodo question, let me know if this is discussed somewhere else:

Frodo and HfG Clue Cards:

The same issue applies here. If forced effect take precidence over Responses, Frodo would loose a Clue card he holds, before he converts the damage to threat. Correct?

From the FAQ:

"(1.09) Forced Responses
Forced responses resolve immediately when their
specified prerequisite occurs, and before any response
effects that also can be triggered off the same
prerequisite."

Based on the FAQ I would say that is correct.

Based on the current FAQ it's hard to argue the point, however, saves/cancels in other nate french games (i.e. game of thrones) occur before resolution of the current in the flowchart while normal responses occur after resolution of the current action. I'm not saying that is how this game will work and we won't know until the new FAQ comes out but I'd wager this is correct.

Smells to me like there are two things that can make Frodo Survive:

a) Muck Adder only triggers his Force Effect if any damage actually remains on the character, after other effects have taken place. Which seems unlikely since it is a Forced effect... but maybe it should be re-written somehow?

b) A new type of Action need to be added to the game... let's call it "Immediate Response" for instance, that will trigger before Forced Effects, and Frodos ability should be such an Action. But then, maybe other Responses should be changed to become this as well?

I agree... FAQ/Errata is needed here.
