Questions about Immune-response & conflict ability

By Tiny White 2, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

Question 1:

Joffrey Baratheon(KL)

Immune to triggered effects.
Response: After an opponent's character is knelt, pay 1 gold to stand Joffrey Baratheon. Then, he claims 1 power.

Dragon Skull

House Targaryen only.
Attached character gets -2 STR and is killed if its STR is 0.
Response: After Dragon Skull comes out of Shadows, attach it to an opponent's character or discard it from play.

Question is : When the Dragon skull comes out of shadow, can I response to attach it to a character imminue to triggered effects such as Joffrey(KL) or attach it to a character Immune to opponent's card effects such as Cat o' the Canals? If I can, then the passive effect of Dragon Skull works?

Question 2:

Robert Baratheon
Lord. King.
Renown.
If Robert Baratheon is the only King character in play, he gains: 'Any Phase: Kneel Robert Baratheon to play an 'Any Phase' event card from your discard pile as if you just played it from your hand. Then, shuffle that event card back into your deck.'

Pyre of the False Gods
Dragonstone.
After you play an event card from you hand, put it on the bottom of your deck instead of discarding it.
Marshalling: Kneel Pyre of the False Gods and pay 2 gold to return 1 event card from your discard pile to your hand.

Forever Burning

House Targaryen only. Deathbound.
Any Phase: Choose a character. Until the end of the phase, that character gets -1 STR.
Dominance: Kneel 1 influence or pay 2 gold to return Forever Burning from your dead pile to your hand.

Question is:

1:You have Robert Baratheon(kots) and the Pyre of the false gods in play, then you play an event card in your discard pile ,where to put the event? Bottom of the deck or just shuffle into your deck?

2:You have Pyre of the false gods in play and you play a deathbound event from your hand, Where to put it? Dead pile or bottom of deck? When you play the Forever Burning and it is canceled by paper shield, Where to put it? Discard pile or bottom of deck?

Great Thanks!

Yes, you can attach the Dragon Skull to those characters. There is a thread somewhere about Rusted Sword which deals wit the same type of effect. Basically, the logic presented was that attaching an attachment to a character is not the same as targeting the character, otherwise Joff can never have an attachment.

Dragon Skull's passive effect will not work on Cat, however, since Cat ignores its effects (but the Skull stays on Cat, even if it does nothing). It works fine on Joff though.

1. It is shuffled into the deck. Robert's ability does not end with the card becoming 'moribund:discard pile', so the Pyre's ability will not replace it.

2. Not too sure on this one. I would venture that since the deathbound keyword and the Pyre's passive ability both happen during the same step of the timing structure, the first player gets to choose.

In #1, the answer is correct, although there are a few more technicalities in the reasoning that are not worth getting into.

The answer in #2 is correct as well. The replacement effects conflict, so the First Player chooses the order. The one that goes first "wins."

And yes, if a Deathbound event is canceled, the Deathbound effect is canceled, too, and the card goes to the discard pile instead of the dead pile.
