I have a question, about when I as a OL can use the transport gem card ? only duting my turn, or in the players turn or even in combat, to escape with the lieuntenant.

but the other upgrade card, where u make the heroes automatic get an encounter, that card u have to use in the heros turn, so why not the transport gem, i think it was problery not ment to be used that way, but its one of the only way to save a lieuntenant, when the have u pined down in the corner

I'll check my copy when I get home, but I'm almost sure it says "Move your Lt anywhere on the map" which to me says it can't be used in Encounters.

Transport Gem: "Place this card in the graveyard to move one of your Lts to any legal location on the Terrinoth map, one time. Any Quest Items that Lt may have been carrying are left behind."

Nothing says you can't use it during an Lt Encounter, but I've never understood it to used that way. So I really can't give you a definite answer on this one. You could imply that because its says the Lt leaves behind any Quest items that it could be used to rescue a Lt from an encounter.
