Innsmouth vortex.

One question. If devil reef is an island, and flying monsters can move there from the sky like in a steet area; should a flying monster that spawns there from a gate moves also to the sky or to the vortex? After all is open sky.

Yes it should work both ways, monsters fly in and out.

There's no reason it shouldn't operate like any other location. If a flying monster moves, and there's not an investigator on it, it will go to the Sky.

Getting flying monsters into a vortex is notoriously difficult. You'd need to get an encounter that said that all monsters follow the arrows instead of their regular movement.

AFAIK, flying monster can only move from the sky to street locations, unless special text dicates otherwise, so monsters could NOT move from the sky to Devils reef as its not a street. Flyers can move from Devils reef to the sky, but not the other way around. Maybe I misread your statement, or it was posted incorrectly?

There is a special text dictating otherwise printed on the very location of Devil Reef itself: “Flying Monsters may move into Devil Reef as though it were a street area.”

actually, it's quite easy. all that is needed is the spell Implant Suggestion and a flying monster. then, stand next to a vortex and when the monster flies down the spell can be cast (in the next movement phase).

(we've always considered the "in your location" part of the card to mean "in the same area as you" as if it was only usable in actual locations, the "either in the direction of the black or white arrow" part would make no sense).

but otherwise it could be a tad hard yes..

Implant Suggestion, right—forgot about that one.

Well, that means you'd need to own the spell, which means owning the expansion it's in (Kingsport, I think?).
