Title Card Question

By Mykel The Vile, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

This cropped up tonight and caused a heated debate that went on and on and....

Player 1 has MASTER OF COIN

Player 2 has LCOTK

Player 3 has CROWN REGENT

Player 1 initiated a military challange against Player 2 who in turn used LCOTK to redirect the undefended challange onto Player 3 who uses CROWN REGENT to also redirect ( BUT THE NEW TARGET IS CHOSEN BY THE ATTACKER )

So we assumed that Player 1 (MOC) is still classed as the attacker as Player 2 (LCOTK) does not assume an attacking role as he only redirects.

Thus when the (CR) was played by Player 2, Player 1 automatically chose the new target and he chose Player 2 to again recieve the Military that he had just re-directed.

Question is; When CROWN REGENT is used to redirect, can the attacking player choose to make CROWN REGENT (player) the reciever again as the Agenda has been used for that round.

Or does the attacker have to choose a NEW target that is not the player who has just used CR to redirect.

I hope this make sense as were all fairly newish to game and at the mo were just relying on the core rule book.

Need to download that PDF rule book to be honest.

Epic game tonight and some fantastic spats, I think I enjoy the bust ups just as much as the game. As long as Im not on the receiving end..... 0_o

Cheers

I was thrown off at the beginning. I think you are misreading the Kingsguard job. If there is an undefended military challenge, as Lord Commander, you can redirect it to yourself. The advantage of this is to prevent the attacker from gaining an unopposed victory by defending it yourself. You can't "push off" a challenge like the Crown Regent can.

Oh dear !

Thanks mate. I cant believe weve mis-read the LCOTK card so badly. All that bloody arguing and no one had bothered to read the text correctly.

Another quick one if poss.

Does the title card if not used go to standing strength if it has not been used in the challange phase. We all thought NO as it stipulates in core book that its

character strenght and gold. Thought I'd ask just to confirm.

Thanks again.

No worries.

And no, the Job strengths only apply during the challenge corresponding to the icon on the job card. During Dominance, Jobs don't come into play.
