Final word? How many X-wings and Tie fighters in the base box?

As cute as it is to revisit old threads, I would probably lock this one and issue a warning if I were a moderator. What's to stop some idiot from going to the last page of the forum and randomly bumping any old thing?

If it adds something to the conversation, in this case humor because of the thread's subject, then I don't have a problem with that.

Awesome!!!! 14th level Cleric at work!

It's not the thread specifically, which may or may not be relevant, it's collateral damage I'm worried about. I don't know, there are a few other forums I frequent where you either can't necro threads (they get locked / archived automatically after a while) or you get infractions for doing so. There's just too much potential for abuse to take it lightly.

Speaking from experience, having been one of the admins on one of the largest forums in the world for a few years, it's not that difficult. Then again, the moderation on that forum is of course a lot more involved with the users than these corporate forums.

But a nostalgia bump, once in a while is nothing to be scared of.

Maybe. I wasn't terribly concerned until people started saying "hey, let's do this more often!"

I really enjoy to see this video again, now with the minis, and see how it would be, with the arch in a diferent color, and other style for the pilot token, and the cards, it's good to see this diferences, greettings.

Its great to see how much we got wrong, although someone did mention an E-Wing. It did take 2 years but they were right.

I'm totally lovin' this thread.

I love the post that said we'd probably never get Porkins, Jansen, Hobbie or any of the other Rogue Squadron guys.

Between that and everybody complaining that only 3 ships in the core set will drive away all of the customers it reminds me of why I never listen to people on the internet.

Little did we know back then that two years later the two most played ships are the ones found in that core set!!

Three core sets plus a TIE expansion and an X-Wing and you got TWO tournament worthy squadrons. Good guy FFG!

Holy thread necro!

Yeah, let's not make a habit of this. But it is interesting, once in a while, to see what some folks were expecting and what we actually received. Note that most of the posters speculating in this thread are not active on this forum any more.
