It was a joke folks. Context is everything here. We all know how gaming groups can be: you've got one guy who's all about the blood and guts, and one guy who is 'that guy'. And we all know that these very same kinds of arguments are going to happen once Black Crusade hits the street (may it soon come).

There's a difference between treating it in a mature way, the way such things deserve, and being an immature **** who is likely to offend.

Black Crusade isn't age restricted cause its a template to build your games from, and the comment made earlier was clearly tongue in cheek so you cannot say it was in poor taste.... if it had been posted in a thread about **** victims then THAT would have been in poor taste, but it was posted in a thread about the delay of Black Crusade, so anyone bringing their personal issues into this thread is just making problems for themselves.

You can make tongue in cheek jokes with your' buddies about anything you want. When you joke about certain things on a public forum you are no longer private and should therefore, in my opinion, try to respect everyone. The common argument against is - but then we cannot talk about anything! There will always be someone who gets offended. While true to a certain extent I personally do not think that jokes about ****, or homosexuality, or child abuse, to name a few more, has anything to do here. I do think it is perfectly acceptable to talk about how to roleplay the darker aspects of the game, in a mature fashion.

I read posts on this board and I occasionally write posts on this board. I chose to be here. I also reacted to his joke. I like to think that we have a good community going here and that we are capable of "moderating" ourselves with a friendly comment. While we are certainly going of topic fast here I do not see the problem and actually think it's an important subject. It is not like anyone had any new information to share in the last few pages.

I do not expect anyone to jump just because I say so. I just hope this post, and the post's of the other users who reacted, gives paus to the next person about to joke about a potentially sensitive subject.

My shop just changed availability to 28th september 2011, but I also got the email that says, it's already in their warehouse, so it's SOON.

Leisure Games is getting Black Crusade on Friday 23rd, and I've heard that the FFG booth will have them at Games Day UK on Sunday (when I'll probably pick up my copy).

I just got confirmation that one of the local(ish) game stores will have it on monday, finally!

Sure if happens in video games, movies and music but I've never heard it happen in the RPG community. Maybe its because I'm in the UK and we can get shafted pretty hard on some imported stuff. I know the books at the shop, I was about to make the trip when they contacted me and told me not to bother as they cannot sell it to me. I'm a little annoyed as I was all set to read it today but in the real world its just a book and I can live another 3 days without it.

Still sucks though...

It looks like us poor saps in America won't be getting our sweet, sweet Black Crusade funtime until October. At least, that's what my FLGS and site I usually order from had to say about it.

Anyone able to confirm or deny this?

Spoke w/ my FLGS (York / PA / USA) earlier today and they confirmed that it was scheduled to ship to them tomorrow and that they expected to have in hand for Sept 23. Both the rulebook and GM kit are now on order with them...
