I am curious about this card. One of the two Response: says "Response: After a card is place in an opponent's dead pile, return The Titan's Bastard to its owner's hand"

I have two questions. I am playing this game with a friend. I actually own all the cards. They belong to me so should this card come to my hand? I am the owner.

The other question is: What if this card is in the dead pile or the discard? Can it be returned to the owner's hand can then? I am thinking no. My thinking is that if a card can use its Response: when a card is out of play it needs to specifically say it on the card.

You are correct. Card abilities cannot be triggered if the card is in an out-of-play state, unless the ability specifically says otherwise.

And as for ownership, you "own" all the cards in your deck. It doesn't care who actually bought the cards; that'd be silly

So if your friend plays with a deck you provided, he "owns" all the cards in that deck for the purposes of the game.
