Did anyone ask why the vrill didn't make appearence at gen con?

I have not heard anything yet. I was hoping for some pictures. At a minimum just some more information regarding stats and units and heroes.

I don't imagine at this point we will see the vrill or the soviets until early next year. AS the game sits now we will see the revised core set as the next expansion and over the following months we will se the release of the units available in that set, released individualy, which will take us into december probably. hopefully around that time in which dust warfare will be released, hopefully there will be some sort of mention of a new faction.

Thyis game really needs to expand to stay alive. could you imagine how far other TT games would go if there were only 2 factions.

I agree. A table top game will not go anywhere with only two factions. Its fine for a board game but Warfare needs to have more playable factions.

Yup, I've got a couple of friends who wish to get an army, but there is no point in collecting something somebody else already has plenty of to play. One of my friends picked up an AT43 army - FFG's loss.
